Week 22 · Term Three · One inspectable brief

The Trial of Three Sources

Turn three sources into counts a neighbor can check: 6 + 4 citations, 10 − 3 shared, 4 − 1 readings, 3 × 2 limits, and a statement that does not say which source is right or that the case is closed.

A brief survives only the lines it can show.

Monday adds 6 + 4 citations. Tuesday subtracts 10 − 3 shared. Wednesday subtracts 4 − 1 readings. Thursday names 3 × 2 limits. Friday writes a statement a skeptical family can inspect.

Day 1

Monday

20 minutes

History · Two cards, one citation count

Count the Cited Lines

Count citations as both cards, and refuse an agreement stamp the table never held.

Make

A citation card

Trial handoff: The citation card is filed. The shared facts are still open — ten lines are not yet an overlap a neighbor can subtract.

Day 2

Tuesday

25 minutes

Media literacy · Listed minus unique

Measure the Shared Facts

Count shared facts as listed minus unique-to-one, and refuse a same-story stamp that hides the seven still on the card.

Make

A shared-fact card

Trial handoff: The shared-fact card is filed. The readings are still open — seven shared lines are not yet meanings a visitor can count.

Day 3

Wednesday

25 minutes

Rhetoric · Posted minus withdrawn

Count the Remaining Readings

Count remaining readings as posted minus withdrawn, and refuse a settled stamp that hides the three still on the card.

Make

A reading card

Trial handoff: The reading card is filed. The limits are still open — three readings are not yet a rule a family can inspect.

Day 4

Thursday

20 minutes

Law · Who names the limits

Name the Brief Limits

Keep the brief as a counted limit total, and refuse a headline that the case is won.

Make

A limit card

Trial handoff: The limit card is filed. The brief is still open — six limits are not yet a statement a family can inspect.

Day 5

Friday

25 minutes

Public writing · A brief families can check

File the Corroborated Brief

Write a corroborated case brief that uses this week’s counts and states what the table still cannot prove.

Make

A corroborated case brief

Trial handoff: The corroborated brief is filed. The year now has one inspectable three-source model — not a claim that one source is right.

Open the trial journal.

The brief uses only work entered here. It does not infer a winner, a closed case, matching meanings, next week’s witnesses, mastery, attendance, or accreditation.
