Week 26 · Term Three · One inspectable analysis

The Trade Winds

Turn two routes into counts a neighbor can check: 8 of 20 is 40 per 100, 12 of 60 is 20 per 100, 3 + 2 + 5 coins stay on the sale, 11 − 4 ships are still waiting, and 2 × 2 lines that do not call the harbor fair.

An analysis survives only the rates it can show.

Monday compares 40 per 100 with 20 per 100. Tuesday keeps 3 + 2 + 5 on one sale of 10. Wednesday subtracts 11 − 4 still waiting. Thursday names 2 × 2 required lines. Friday writes a statement a skeptical family can inspect.

Day 1

Monday

20 minutes

Ratios · Two routes, one comparison

Count the Cargo Rates

Compare cargo as a rate with its denominator, and refuse a bigger-pile stamp the routes never earned.

Make

A cargo card

Analysis handoff: The cargo card is filed. The coin split is still open — forty per 100 is not yet a share a neighbor can hold beside the harbor house.

Day 2

Tuesday

25 minutes

Economics · A split minus a verdict

Split the Sale

Keep all three shares visible, and refuse a stamp that calls the trade fair or blames the grower.

Make

A share card

Analysis handoff: The share card is filed. The berths are still open — five of ten is not yet a count of who is still waiting.

Day 3

Wednesday

25 minutes

Geography · Offered minus loaded

Count Who Is Still Waiting

Count waiting ships as offered minus already loaded, and refuse an open-route stamp that hides the seven still waiting.

Make

A waiting card

Analysis handoff: The waiting card is filed. The ledger rule is still open — seven waiting ships are not yet lines a family can inspect.

Day 4

Thursday

20 minutes

History · What a ledger may say

Name the Required Lines

Keep the ledger as a counted set of lines, and refuse a headline that calls the harbor fair or predicts the next voyage.

Make

A ledger card

Analysis handoff: The ledger card is filed. The public statement is still open — four lines are not yet a limit a family can inspect.

Day 5

Friday

25 minutes

Public writing · An analysis families can check

File the Trade Analysis

Write a trade analysis that uses this week’s counts and states what the table still cannot prove.

Make

A trade analysis

Analysis handoff: The trade analysis is filed. The year now has one inspectable exchange table — not a claim that the harbor price is fair.

Open the trade journal.

The analysis uses only work entered here. It does not infer a fair harbor, a blamed grower, an open route, mastery, attendance, or accreditation.
